Great little electric fire effect heater. Works prefectly for the den, or library that needs a fireplace. We are very satisfied.

After reading reviews of this product and other manufactures products reviews, we decided to go for the Jasper Electric Stove. We have only had the unit for a few days now and are happy with our purchase. We knew that all of the Electric Stoves are smaller than the real ones (coal or wood stoves), but with a few accent pieces of real firewood, a cast iron kettle and a few other items, the unit looks really good even without the electric fire used. We spent $10.00 at Lowe's and got some paving stones to put under the unit to add to the realism and that really added to the look. The electric flame is not bad, but then again, unless you go with a Dimplex or a gas log set, you can only expect so much from an electric flame simulation. The only issue is that the 'high' switch for the fan doesn't sound any different or blow any harder. We aren't intending to do a lot of heating with this unit so it doesn't really matter to us. We just wanted the look and occasional flame for ambiance.

It looks like it's made of cast iron but it's made of all thin plastic. I'm very disappointed. Metal of some kind, even aluminum would have been preferable to plastic. Yuk.

This product proved to be practical for all of the adults in my family.

Darling appearance, but the high heat button may not work. I have left three messages at the 800 number provided asking if the fan speed should pick up when high heat button is chosen. I have had no response.

Durable and classic looking. Heater works well and is quiet. Flames look pretty realistic and more so with the doors closed. It does not get home or to the touch. Heater/blower is at the bottom of the unit and blows outward. Only thing missing is the sound of crackling fire. Though I did see where you can buy a device that mimics the sound. We even put this in the camper last weekend when we went camping with friends since we couldn't have a real campfire. While not the real thing it did fill the void while we were all sitting outside in the evening.

awesome flame that looks very realistic for an electric unit! The fireplace could definitely be improved with the heater unit. I ordered 2 units and both had an annoying loud buzz sound for a few seconds when the heating element kicks in... Temporary buzz is in addition to the normal heater sound. I would have rated 5 stars if it weren't for this.

I had another model like this one and the movers broke it. This one looks better and the heat output is great.
