Relaxing & realistic visuals, effective heater
I've been using it for about two weeks now. This is the only one I've been able to find online that has a curved design and a mesh door instead of glass/plastic. The mesh lends it a very realistic look. It warms up the room pretty quickly and effectively too.

Love it!
The most important aspect of this electric fireplace is how real the flames and logs look. Everything about it has style, which is exactly what we were looking for to put in our bedroom (and living room to show off when guests come). It does a great job of quickly heating the room, and the fan noise actually helps me fall asleep faster. The remote is very handy to put on a nightstand so you don't have to get out of bed to turn it off. My wife and I love it!

It looked really cute when I got it. I will say it puts out nice warm air as well, but withen one day of having the flame light turned on the whole circuit panel for the lights themselves apparently has a short in it. No light bulbs will work even with new ones. So now what? Return and ask for another? Or just keep it and try to fix it, well I don't know but I know this, I wont buy another from this place.

It looks pretty decent. I am happy, but on occasion the rolling motor which makes the fake flames get's noisy. Overall, I am happy, but it's not worth $200.

I was so disappointed, thinking that we would have to return it
For everyone who is complaining about the noise, there is a simple fix. We received ours and turned it on and it made the most obnoxious sound ever. I was so disappointed, thinking that we would have to return it. My husband decided to remove the back and look inside and sure enough, there was a long spinning piece that must have been jarred loose in transit. He stuck it back in and 'Voila'.....no more noise. We love it!

Where to start...I honestly do like this fireplace but there are so many issues with it I am keeping all the packaging with the expectation I will have to send it back. First, the unit itself seems NOT to be a 'new 2014' model as stated in the ad. It is scratched in places and was very dirty, indicating to me that it maybe was a return...who knows. Second, it wobbles, no matter what I try to fix it. The legs went on easy enough and it seemed sturdy. I have placed it on a perfectly level surface and one leg is just shorter. It is a very light unit and seems it would tip over if bumped by one of the kids. Third, the door doesn't stay shut, the top magnet doesn't stick and again, no matter what I try to fix this it doesn't seem to matter. Where the magnet is supposed to hold onto the unit it's all scratched up and just doesn't hold at all. So the door hangs open at the top. Not cool at all. And last of all the useless remote...what can I say. It doesn't work. I took out the little plastic thing and nothing, it did nothing. Assuming the battery was dead (again another indication that this unit is an OLD one, not a new model) I put a new battery in and still nothing. I'm following the booklet instructions, having the unit turned on at the switch and the remote just does not work. Is it even supposed to work by remote? I can't even find the IR connection between the remote and the unit, don't know what I'm supposed to be aiming it at. Silly. Anyhow, for now I am keeping it where it is to see how it works out. I am upset that for this $$ something is of such poor quality. To be fair, I do love the effect and looks of this little fireplace but I honestly expected better quality. But then we do when we spend our hard earned money don't we? For $200 I hoped this would last for a few years. At this point, only 2 days into ownership, I am thinking I'll be lucky if it lasts through this winter season...just not good enough in my opinion.
