  We love our amish fireplace

  We love our amish fireplace! The heat is perfect enough to warm our entire apartment. People have mistaken the fire for a real crackling log! After a couple months, our fireplace broke (the logs still lit up, but the heater component did not work any longer). However, the maker was so wonderful and sent us a replacement free of charge. This one has been working very well and lasted us through the winter!

  Love this electric fireplace! Great addition to our cozy (read: small) New York apartment. My dog has already curled up in front of it, like it's a real hearth! It's just as pictured and the flames look realistic (and the brightness is adjustable). The heating power is no joke, and it doesn't get too hot to the touch, so you can use it as an accent table for picture frames, lamp, etc. The only thing missing is the crackling fireplace sound (happily that machine is sold separately) - GOD I love finding products like this!

  We've only had it for a few days. So far, heats well and fairly quiet. Door is quite flimsy on opening but we will modify the strength of the magnetic closure which should put less stress on hinges, as it is magnet is too strong and requires a strong pull to open which puts torque on hinges.

  Really elegant efireplace. Efficient, heats up a mid-sized room quickly. My only criticism is that the fireplace could be heavier/more solid, but on the plus side it really is portable. The flickering flames and glowing logs look really nice esp in lower lighting.

  I love the retro look of the fireplace (as do friends who have seen it). The flame is as realistic as possible for an electric generated flame. The heat produced does not seem very far-reaching, but it is nice to sit by the fireplace to get warm. At first, the blower noise bothered us, but we are now used to it. I went to a few stores to see if other electric fireplaces were more quiet, but they all make noise when blowing out the warm air. So this is just the nature of this type of fireplace. It's really just a glorified space heater! But, overall, I am enjoying it quite a bit on these cold and snowy days. The seller was excellent! The fireplace came carefully boxed and it arrived quickly.
