  just what I needed

  I live in an older home and it has cold spots. I placed this in the living room. It is about 200 sq feet with two open doorways to the kitchen and another to the stairway. I turn on low and in a matter of minutes it is nice and cozy. My whole house heater does not cylcle so often when this is on. I do not use as much gas for the whole house heater and the electric bill only went up about ten dollars for the month. I thought it was a good trade off. Heat during a cold winter will cost more than during a mild winter anyway so I am very pleased with my purchase and it is pretty too. It gives nice ambiance when the lights are out too.

  The video review helped me decide to purchase this product. I am so glad I made this purchase. The flames dance and the fireplace will add a little bit of 'cozy' where ever you decide to put it.

  This is a really nice electric fireplace and I'm quite please with how it looks. The design is pretty classic and the height of this fireplace makes it really great for small spaces. In the box are 4 plastic legs, 8 screws and an instruction manual. I didn't even need to read the instruction manual to assemble the legs, it's pretty straight forward. The packaging was solid and everything arrived in good shape.The right side of the fireplace has three toggle buttons which switch the power on and toggle the two heat settings. The flames actually look really nice. The fan is attached to the underside of the fireplace and that's where the heat is blown out of. It can get hot to the touch so you want to be careful that kids don't touch it...the dancing flames can make it quite alluring.The overall construction seems solid but time will tell. I'll try to do an update after a few months of use. I've also used a power monitor to check how much it costs to have this fireplace/heater on. With just the lights, it's about 1 cent/hour. With the heater turned on at high, it'll cost about 17-18 cents/hour. That's why I love these fireplaces. They make for great space heaters and come with the relaxing glow of a fire.The finish looks good and the small door handle has a nice chrome/brushed finish. The door does not open. Overall, I'd recommend this fireplace to anyone looking for something small and inexpensive.
