Ways to Relax on Memorial Day

For many, the last day off they had was January 1st, and they are very much looking forward to the Memorial Day holiday on the 25th. Lots of people use this long weekend to get their Spring cleaning and yard maintenance started. Some utilize their holiday to get out-of-town and take a mini vacation. Although taking a relaxing mini vacation is an unlikely scenario this year. Others simply want to take the time for some much needed relaxation at home.

If relaxing is what you are looking forward to most, there are ways to make the most of your extra day off to ensure you completely unwind.

A cozy fire is always welcome when you want to relax. Fires often make reading, napping, or watching tv more pleasurable. However, Memorial Day weather can be a mixed bag across the country. It could be 90 degrees or higher in your state, which makes having a fire unlikely.

A lot of people don’t know that electric fireplaces exist, let alone are portable, and can be used without the heat option. It’s true. You can have the ambiance of a roaring fire on a hot day when you have the air conditioning blasting. e-Flame USA carries several models at price points that will appeal to everyone. There are lightweight freestanding units that are easily transported from room to room, as well as grand flat screen wall mountscabinets, and mantle options. Each of these products provide the warm glow of real wood burning fire. Another bonus of these units is that during the colder months, the heat option can be turned on in combination with the flame effect at the flip of a switch to provide the inviting warmth. This is especially great for those that live in a dwelling without the option for a traditional fire.

Even without the COVID-19 quarantine, most Americans planned to stay home for the holiday anyway. They see it as a time to relax and reflect on the sacrifices of the men and women that bravely fought for, and lost their lives, for our great country.
